Joy Chow

Joy Chow has been team leader of our school for fifteen years. Joy came to us after completing her B.A. and B.Ed. degrees at York University. As BWNS was then a new school, she was responsible for developing a curriculum, purchasing materials and setting up an environment suitable for preschoolers. Joy is a conscientious teacher who enjoys being with young children.

Joy has attended a number of E.C.E. and P.C.P.C. workshops, completed a 10-week course on Systematic Training of Effective Parenting and has taken classes in CPR for young children. As a result of her studies and practical experience, Joy was granted her E.C.E. equivalency. Joy has a keen interest in Science and likes to incorporate the world of nature into the programme. She has some music training and is presently learning to play the autoharp.
